Replacing an Old Wired System

Replacing an old wired system - whether a burglar alarm, or a video surveillance system - is straightforward enough. You have the choice of renewing it with a replacement wired system or to use one of the modern wireless systems.

The advantage of using a wireless system is that the installation is not as disruptive as for a hard wired system. You no longer have to locate unsightly cables throughout your home and drill holes through walls. It is a far easier set up, and more flexible in the locations you can use.

If you do go the wireless route to replace an old wired system, you may need to redecorate parts of your home after the old cabling has been removed - filling holes, repainting and so on.

Try to migrate from the old to the new system the same day to ensure your home stays protected.
